What is a 2002 Ford Think?


The Ford Think was developed by Ford in order to comply with the Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate put into effect by the California Air Resource Board (CARB). This, in very general terms, meant that any major car company that wanted to do business in California, needed to produce a ZEV vehicle. DaimlerChrysler bought the ZEV manufacturer GEM (Global Electric Motorcars). Ford didn't see any other ZEV manufacturer, so they threw their R&D team into the project, and the 2002 Ford Think Neighbor was the result
